The Booth Centre
"The Booth Centre is a drop-in and activity Centre for homeless people. The Centre opened in May 1995 and is based in Manchester Cathedral. This Centre provides positive experiences that help people build self respect and make positive changes in their lives."
The Centre does this by:
- Providing a drop-in and activity centre for people who are homeless.
- Offering advice to help people resolve their problems.
- Providing a base for activities which are creative, therapeutic, challenging and enjoyable.
- Giving people help to move on to education, training and employment.
How the web site helps:
- Personal Pages -- People at the Centre create their own pages, with photos, life histories, poetry etc.
- Art work upload -- Drawing, paintings and photography.
- Music download -- Samples made during music workshops.
- Links -- Resources for researching homelessness; latest news.
